First step to transform deep rooted eating habits is to become aware of them. Writing and drawing are ways to listen to your body. You will learn how to pay attention to the sensations in your body (in daily living) as it directly relates to what you eat.
A systematic approach will be used to go around the mind. With this approach, when you food mood journal, it is as if you are observing someone else’s eating patterns and habits. You see the constant identification with thoughts in mind is what got you in this predicament in the first place. By cultivating the witness state of being, writing/drawing is taking place and you are just simply witnessing it happening. As you proceed in your food mood awareness exercise, you will objectively see patterns and begin the first step in the process of transformation: Awareness.
